Yale Hackathon
Dr. Oskar mentored students and young professionals at the 2024 Yale Healthcare Hackathon, where more than 200 attendees from 20 universities collaborated and innovated on the theme of preventive medicine. This focus covered crucial areas such as mental health, nutrition, physical wellness, and access to care, which are essential for enhancing our healthcare system.
Jazz & Visual Arts
Dr. Oskar co-organized and supported an unparalleled event that fused jazz and visual arts. The three-day residency featured piano prodigy Aaron Parks and his Little Big project, alongside an exhibition of large-scale abstract paintings by Sebastian Slomkowski. This showcase was hosted by the ShapeShifter Plus Foundation, a Brooklyn-based nonprofit dedicated to promoting artistic innovation.
gm Summit: Healthcare & DeSci Session
Dr. Oskar hosted a roundtable session together with Dr. Hesse. They talked about the chances of decentralized science to create new ways of scientific engagement, revolutionizing drug R&D, and changing how people pay for healthcare.

MIT COVID-19 Challenge event, Beat the Pandemic, was second in a series of virtual hackathons. Over the course of two days, multi-disciplinary teams collaborated to develop innovative solutions that can help address the COVID-19 crisis.

Dr. Oskar gave a talk on “How to implement medical technology” for Bruin Medical Entrepreneurs members.

Project Voice 2020 (Chattanooga, TN)
Oskar Kiwic, MD together with Rodney Anderson, MD given a talk at Project Voice about how healthcare providers can use voice to transform the relationship patients have with their doctors. Project Voice is a international conference leading the discourse on voice technology and conversational AI.
SBC Workshop (Hartford, CT)
On Jan 8 and 9, Dr. Oskar did a workshop on how to deploy in a hospital system and has spent some 1:1 time mentoring and judging the healthcare startups from Startupbootcamp Digital Health CT, powered by Rainmaking.
New study published in the International Journal of Medical Informatics
The study, performed at the Outpatient Cardiology Clinic, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, revealed that CardioCube can collect, index, and document medical data using a voice interface. This is a powerful proof point that our voice-driven solution can help support physicians in their quest to develop meaningful relationships with their patients--and help keep burnout at bay.
Talk & Panel at MEDICA (Dusseldorf, Germany)
The MEDICA HEALTH IT FORUM is a platform for trends, innovations and exchange. More than 120 speakers explored the possibilities and limits of digital health solutions. Oskar was invited by Dr. Sarah J. Becker (Universitat Witten/Herdecke) to take part in a panel discussion “AI for patients (from healthbots to voice-driven interfaces)”. Panelists presented their views on the impact of conversational AI on patient treatment outcomes.
TCT Shark Tank (San Diego, CA)
Jon DeHaan Foundation partnered with Cardiovascular Research Foundation to organize “The Shark Tank Innovation Competition”. Seven companies developing new technologies were selected to present to a panel of “sharks”. Oskar talked about how CardioCube can interface with patients via voice and integrate information into electronic health record. The competition was part of 30th Annual TCT Conference - the world's largest educational meeting specializing in interventional cardiovascular medicine.
